Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced VMware Tanzu & Kubernetes Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise container platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with VMware Tanzu, Kubernetes, containerization, automation, and cloud technologies, along with strong troubleshooting skills in complex enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage VMware Tanzu and Kubernetes environments.
- Deploy, scale, and maintain Kubernetes clusters.
- Containerize applications and support their deployment into Kubernetes platforms.
- Monitor system performance and optimize infrastructure for scalability and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Tanzu, Kubernetes, and virtualization platforms.
- Collaborate with development teams to support application deployment and CI/CD pipelines.
- Automate infrastructure using PowerShell, Python, YAML, and Ansible.
- Manage deployments using Helm Charts and Flux, and monitor environments with Datadog.
- Support networking components including NSX, AVI Load Balancers, and Palo Alto/ASA Firewalls.
- Participate in capacity planning, system maintenance, and infrastructure improvements.
- Provide technical guidance and support to cross-functional teams.
- Participate in a 24x7 support rotation when required.
Required Skills
- Strong experience with VMware Tanzu and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies and Kubernetes administration.
- Experience with vRealize Automation (vRA) Pipelines, NSX, and AVI Load Balancer.
- Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, YAML, and Ansible.
- Experience with Helm Charts, Flux, and Datadog Monitoring.
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies, cloud computing, and infrastructure management.
- Experience with Palo Alto/ASA Firewalls, NAT, security policies, and firmware upgrades.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, application architecture, and enterprise infrastructure.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- VMware Tanzu and Kubernetes certifications are highly preferred.
- Experience working in enterprise production environments.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
- Willingness to provide support in a 24x7 operational environment.
