Overview
Providence College: The Department of Philosophy invites applications for the post of Visiting Assistant Professor, commencing August 2026. The salary range for this position is $$68,000-$72,000.
Duties and Responsibilities
Successful candidates will demonstrate commitment to and/or experience with engaging diverse students in the classroom and be supportive of the Department's commitment to teaching the history of philosophy and supporting the College's core curriculum through courses such as Introduction to Philosophy and General Ethics. They should also be willing to participate in interdisciplinary team teaching through the College's Development of Western Civilization Program. The teaching load of this position is three courses per semester with a cap of 25 students per class.
