Transylvania University (www.transy.edu), a top-tier, independent, residential liberal arts college in Lexington, Kentucky, invites applications for the position of Visiting Assistant Professor of Health and Exercise Science. This is a full-time, one-year, non-tenure-track position, teaching in-person classes, beginning August 27, 2026.

Job Description
The Health and Exercise Science program is an exclusively undergraduate program that emphasizes innovative, hands-on teaching in small class settings. The teaching load consists of three courses per term, plus one short-term course in May (3-3-1). We require someone with expertise in health/wellness and human anatomy and physiology to teach multiple sections of HES 1114 - Health and Wellness (a required general education course) and HES 2104 - Anatomy and Physiology II (a required course in the health and exercise science major) across the academic year.
