Visiting Assistant Professor in Art & Design Recruitment #: F2603 Review Date: Open | Open until filled Department: Art & Design/CAD Salary Rate: $48,000 - $60,000 commensurate with experience and qualifications Position Summary: The Creative Arts Division at Western Oregon University invites applications for a full -time non- tenure track Visiting Assistant Professor position in Art & Design. This position is for the 2026- 2027 academic year with the possibility of a one- year reappoi ntment depending on programmatic needs. Teaching is the primary responsibility of this position. Teaching is expected to include A120 Beginning Digital Art & Design, A311 Creativity & Idea Generation, and A468 Art & Technology Workshop. Specific teaching assignments, including courses taught and days/times of teaching schedule may vary based on program needs. Service duties include a co-leadership role working with students, faculty, and staff to launch the Art Department's new makerspace facility. Also include faculty meetings and opportunities for committee work. Professional development and creative scholarship are supported through WOU's faculty development initiatives, plus internal grant opportunities for major projects and conference travel.
