Candidates should have strong interest in teaching courses (not all) preferably in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Business Analytics, and be able to teach a class or two in traditional IS courses such as Introduction to IS, Database Management and IT Innovation and Strategy with AI. The candidate should demonstrate skills in more current areas such as advanced analytics, programming languages in Python, emerging and disruptive technologies such as Blockchain and generative artificial intelligence. The minimum teaching load is 3:3 and maximum is 4:4.
The new faculty member will also be involved in design and support of any new undergraduate programs related to INSY and AIBU as well as graduate programs such as the MBA and certificates. Most critically, candidates with a strong publication record/potential are particularly desirable.
The Information Systems (INSY) area delivers a highly applied and experiential undergraduate major, and a related minor, that prepares students for roles that are in high demand. Students benefit greatly from our deep industry relationships. The college is looking to identify a strong and dynamic candidate who can work with existing INSY and AIBU faculty to continue to innovate in and grow the area. INSY/AIBU also offers courses at the graduate level, including the MBA and the Executive MBA.

Applicants should hold a Ph.D. or be close to completing one in Artificial Intelligence or Information Systems, or a closely related discipline. Teaching experience in the relevant area at the university level or professional training experience is strongly preferred.
