Pay Rate: $24 to $29 Per Hour



Shift: 3 pm - 11 pm, 100% Onsite position



Summary:

  • Responsible for supporting virtual patient care activities and promoting patient-focused care.
  • Perform various remote monitoring duties, including patient safety and clinical needs monitoring.
  • Provide support and assistance with hospital-based telemedicine services.
  • Collaborate on implementing telehealth and remote patient monitoring programs.
  • Coordinate training and participate in developing telehealth best practices.
  • Communicate and collaborate with clinical teams, patients, and technology partners.
  • Share accountability for clinical quality and safety outcomes.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality assurance and peer reviews, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Meet with senior leadership to discuss Virtual Hospital Program quality metrics and workflow expansion.
  • Lead case reviews with hospital partners and implement solutions.
  • Triage and assign cases for virtual monitoring/observation.
  • Collaborate on telehealth policy and workflow development and implementation.
  • Maintain operational database including telehealth and remote monitoring program performance.
  • Identify concerning trends and participate in corrective action plan development.
  • Train new staff on telehealth and remote monitoring workflows.
  • Serve as a liaison between physicians, clinical staff, and vendors on telehealth issues.
  • Provide real-time support for telehealth and remote monitoring platforms and equipment.
  • Monitor patient behavior and clinical status, ensuring safety and prevention of falls and injury.
  • Document patient behavior and interventions, and escalate to the clinical team as needed.
  • Monitor telehealth consult orders and ensure sessions begin as scheduled.
  • Ensure patient privacy and adhere to information security policies and HIPAA guidelines.
  • Report patient safety concerns and equipment issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain accurate records of interventions and safety events.
  • Submit utilization and assignment reports every shift.
  • Attend staff meetings and participate in team briefs.


Requirements:

  • Ability to set priorities, problem-solve, and use proper judgment in difficult situations.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Interpersonal skills to communicate and collaborate with patients, visitors, and clinical team members.
  • Maintain attendance and punctuality records according to department policy.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and functional environment.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in facilitating camera utilization and analyzing virtual patient care utilization reports.
  • Ability to navigate multiple technology platforms and work with healthcare providers.
  • Provide "White Glove Service" to troubleshoot telehealth and remote monitoring platform issues.
