Pay Rate: $30/hr

Summary:

  • Shift Hours: 11PM - 7AM
  • Work Mode: Remote
  • Part-time position, 3 days a week, night shift every weekend required

Responsibilities:

  • Support virtual patient care activities and promote patient-focused care.
  • Perform remote monitoring duties for patient safety and clinical needs.
  • Assist with hospital-based telemedicine services and monitor hospital environmental status.
  • Collaborate on implementing telehealth and remote patient monitoring programs.
  • Coordinate training and participate in telehealth best practices development.
  • Perform quality assurance and peer reviews, evaluate telehealth programs, and recommend improvements.
  • Meet with senior leadership monthly to discuss Virtual Hospital Program quality metrics.
  • Collaborate on case reviews with hospital partners and implement solutions.
  • Triage and assign cases for virtual monitoring/observation.
  • Develop and implement telehealth policy and workflow.
  • Maintain operational database including telehealth program performance and quality metrics.
  • Identify trends and develop corrective action plans.
  • Train new staff on telehealth workflows and documentation requirements.
  • Serve as a liaison between physicians, clinical staff, and vendors on telehealth issues.
  • Facilitate camera utilization and coordinate transitions with hospital care team.
  • Provide real-time support to troubleshoot telehealth platform issues.
  • Continuously observe assigned patients for changes in status or behavior.
  • Perform clinical early warning sign monitoring.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and clinical team members.
  • Document patient behavior and interventions, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Monitor telehealth consult orders and ensure sessions begin as scheduled.
  • Protect patient privacy by adhering to information security policies and HIPAA guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of interventions and safety events.
  • Set priorities, problem-solve, and be flexible in difficult situations.
  • Submit utilization and assignment reports every shift.
  • Attend staff meetings and participate in team briefs.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and functional environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of telehealth experience.
  • Direct patient care experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience navigating multiple technology platforms.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with healthcare providers to ensure quality care.
  • Effective problem-solving and judgment skills.
  • Proficiency in English, both oral and written.
