Job Purpose:
Folino Estate is looking for multiple Farm Hands/Vineyard Workers! We are looking to hire hard-working, self-motivated, and high-energy individuals to join our team. The Farm Hands/Vineyard Workers will ensure compliance with country standards and maintain a high level of vine health and vineyard integrity.
Responsibilities:
- Establish vineyards, pruning, tape trunks and canes, cluster thinning, leaf pulling
- Green fruit removal
- Help with installation of nets
- Hedging 2-3 times a year
- Lateral removal 1-2 times a year
- Estimate crop load
- Harvest grapes
Physical Requirements and Skills:
- Able to work ten hour-plus shifts, with extended standing/walking.
- Capable of lifting materials and/or product up to 50 pounds or more.
- Able to work in varying weather conditions
- Great time-management skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Great interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across a multi-company organization.
- Sense of ownership and pride in personal performance and its impact on the success of Folino Estate.
- The ability to encourage co-workers to adhere to the standards of Folino Estate.
Required Qualifications:
- Vineyard or farm hand experience.
- Solid track record of success in previous assignments demonstrating upward career tracking.
- Strong communication skills, bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus but not required.
- Must be dependable, reliable, and self-motivated.
