This job works under general supervision according to set procedures, but determines how or when to complete tasks.Minimum Requirements* Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.* Requires three (3) years in direct delivery of human services, case management and crisis intervention techniques or closely related experience.* A combination of education and experience may be considered for this position.* Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and must have and maintain a satisfactory driver's record based on the City of Hampton's criteria.* Must successfully pass a background check related to this position.* Become a Credential Advocate within six months of employment.Additional Requirements* May require working non-standard hours including evenings, holidays and weekends.* May require some local travel.* Requires effective communication with internal and external customers.* This is an exempt position.* The incumbent may be considered "essential personnel" during City emergency situations or at the direction of the City Manager which may include long hours and unusual schedules.Click here for a complete job description.
