Healthcare Team Overview:
The Healthcare team has deployed $16Bn+ in 25+ transactions across a range of deal sizes and transaction types, from growth minority investments to large-cap buyouts. The dedicated healthcare team invests across all verticals, including outsourced services & solutions, innovative & low-cost providers, HCIT & tech-enabled services, medical technology & products, life science tools and diagnostics, and pharma products. The team seeks investments that are "part of the solution," targeting companies that reduce costs, improve quality of care, and increase access to healthcare. Example investments include PPD (take-private and recapitalization), One Medical (growth minority), TriNetX (growth buyout), and Medline (large-cap buyout and recent IPO filing). The Vice President will join a group that has represented over a quarter of deployed CP VIII capital and generated a leading track record in the industry.
Position Summary:
As a Vice President in Carlyle's Healthcare team within the U.S. Buyout platform, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, evaluating, and executing equity investment opportunities across the healthcare landscape. This Vice President will work in close partnership with senior leaders and cross-functional colleagues to shape investment theses, structure complex transactions, and support portfolio companies in driving operational value. This position is based in New York and requires a high level of autonomy, leadership, and financial rigor, balanced by collaborative instincts and an interest in mentoring junior professionals.
This role will leverage AI technologies to streamline operations, enhance decision-making, and drive execution of key responsibilities with greater efficiency and impact. While AI is a powerful enabler, it does not replace strategic thinking; human insight and judgment will remain essential.* Lead the end-to-end evaluation and execution of leveraged buyout and growth equity transactions in the Healthcare sector, including deal structuring, diligence, and documentation.
