Role Summary

The Regional Vice President (RVP) is the senior executive responsible for the performance, growth, and operational excellence of a defined geographic region. The RVP operates as the firm's regional general manager, holding full accountability for regional profit and loss performance, client delivery excellence, talent leadership, and revenue growth.

The RVP serves as the primary executive face of the firm within the region, developing strategic client relationships, leading major pursuits, and ensuring exceptional delivery across the regional project portfolio. The role combines commercial leadership, operational discipline, and talent stewardship to build a high-performing consulting organization capable of sustaining long-term growth.

The RVP operates within a matrix leadership model, partnering closely with practice leaders and corporate functions while maintaining accountability for regional business outcomes. While practices establish technical standards and capabilities, the RVP ensures these capabilities are effectively deployed to deliver outstanding client outcomes.

The role functions as a seller-doer executive, contributing directly to revenue generation while ensuring projects are delivered with the technical rigor and operational discipline expected of the firm. The RVP also plays a critical role in advancing the firm's mission of helping clients achieve operational readiness and operational excellence across complex life sciences manufacturing environments.

The position currently oversees a regional organization of approximately 50 employees, with the expectation that the regional organization will scale toward 100 employees within the next two to three years.

  • Ensure operational discipline through consistent execution of firmwide systems, processes, and standard work practices
  • Allocate resources strategically to maximize profitability, delivery quality, and long-term client value
  • Provide regular financial and operational reporting to executive leadership, highlighting risks, opportunities, and performance trends
  1. Client Delivery and Project Execution
  • Billable Expectation: Approximately 434 billable hours annually (~10%)
  • Ensure all projects within the region are delivered on time, on budget, and to the firm's quality standards
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for delivery risks, client concerns, and project performance issues

  • Maintain active participation in the regional pipeline to ensure visibility into future demand and staffing requirements
  1. Talent Leadership and Organizational Development
  • Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing consulting talent across the region
  • Directly lead regional operational staff and consulting personnel up through Market Director level
  • Build a strong leadership bench capable of supporting continued regional expansion
  • Establish a culture where excellence in client delivery, technical rigor, and professional development are the standard
  • Conduct performance management with transparency and accountability, recognizing high performers and addressing performance gaps promptly
  • Partner with HR on workforce planning, compensation decisions, onboarding, and leadership development
  • Manage non-billable labor costs for regionally assigned personnel while ensuring adequate staffing for project delivery
  • Promote collaboration across practices and service lines to maximize professional development and client value
