Position Summary

The Vice President, Marketing (Brand and Product Management) is a key member of the Access Systems Division (ASD) Executive Leadership Team and is accountable for driving profitable growth across brands, products, and channels for the largest operating division of Overhead Door Corporation. This role leads enterprise marketing and product strategy for the Overhead Door , Wayne Dalton, and Creative Door Services brands, with responsibility for brand marketing, product management, new product introduction, pricing strategy, and strategic growth initiatives, including the retail channel (Lowe's). The role partners closely with Sales, Operations, Finance, Customer Care, and Information Technology to translate customer and market insight into differentiated products, compelling demand creation, disciplined portfolio governance, and margin accretive growth. The position reports directly to the President, Access Systems Division.Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven senior leadership experience in marketing and product management within a complex, multi-brand, multichannel organization.

  • Demonstrated success driving growth through product innovation, pricing strategy, and demand generation, preferably within manufacturing, durable goods, or related industrial environments.

  • Experience leading enterprise portfolio governance, new product commercialization, and cross functional operating models.

  • Strong track record of building and developing high performing teams and leading organizational change.

  • Deep understanding of go-to-market strategy, sales enablement, and channel dynamics.

  • Experience with enterprise marketing technologies and CRM platforms; ability to leverage data and analytics for decision making.

  • Exceptional executive presence, communication skills, and ability to influence at the ELT and external stakeholder level.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field required

  • Master's degree preferred

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Marketing & Brand Strategy

  • Own and continuously evolve multi-brand marketing strategy to drive demand, brand equity, customer engagement, and market share growth across residential, commercial, and emerging channels.

  • Lead demand creation strategy with a strong digital-first orientation, including performance marketing, lead generation, content strategy, and customer engagement analytics.

  • Establish and execute brand architecture, messaging, and advertising strategies across all ASD brands, ensuring consistency while enabling channel and customer relevance.

  • Direct cooperative advertising programs and ensure disciplined investment decisions aligned to return on marketing spend.

  • Serve as a key leader and contributor to the development and execution of the ASD Strategic Plan, aligning marketing priorities with enterprise growth and profitability objectives.

  • Monitor market dynamics, competitive activity, customer needs, and industry trends to proactively adapt strategy and investment.

  • Define, track, and report marketing performance metrics, including pipeline contribution, brand health, and ROI.

Product Strategy & Portfolio Management

  • Own the end-to-end product portfolio strategy, including lifecycle management, roadmap prioritization, value proposition development, and go-to-market execution.

  • Lead new product and service introduction from concept through commercialization, ensuring disciplined execution and cross functional alignment.

  • Establish and chair the Product Governance Board for the Marketing and Product Management organization, with accountability for portfolio investment decisions, prioritization, and return on innovation.

  • Systematically deploy and continuously improve the New Product Development (NPD) process across product categories and functions.

  • Build and lead cross functional Product Business Teams aligned to major product categories and growth platforms.

  • Leverage market, customer, and channel insights to identify and develop new growth opportunities across products, services, channels, technologies, and business models.

Leadership & Organizational Effectiveness

  • Build, lead, and develop a high performing marketing and product organization with a strong culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer focus.

  • Define organizational structure, roles, capabilities, and talent roadmap to support current and future business needs.

  • Mentor and develop leaders within the organization, building succession depth and a strong internal bench.

  • Champion cross functional collaboration across Sales, Operations, Finance, IT, and Supply Chain to drive enterprise outcomes.

  • Act as a visible, credible leader within ASD and across Overhead Door Corporation.
