Vice President, Commercial Operations

The Commercial team at EyePoint focuses on bringing innovative therapies to patients by ensuring healthcare providers, partners, and communities have access to treatment, reimbursement, and are able to use the product appropriately. This team uses data-driven insights, market access strategies, and a patient-centric approach to improve awareness, access, and adoption of EyePoint's therapies to help improve vision outcomes for people with serious retinal diseases.

The Vice President of Commercial Operations will be a key commercial leadership role with direct impact on commercial effectiveness. Specifically, this role will make direct and vital contributions to the launch of our lead asset. In addition, this role will provide key insights and analysis to support future lifecycle and product portfolio decisions.

This leader will work closely with the Commercial Leadership Teams and serve as a strategic executor for our go-to-market strategy by providing customer and market insights, developing our commercial data strategy, and creating a data analytics capability. The role will also be responsible for ensuring operations support for the commercial function, including the creation of needed process, planning, and progress monitoring. Additionally, this role will lead field operations including CRM, field design, incentive compensation, and field optimization.

This role will require a forward thinking, organized and highly collaborative leader that can distill matrixed activities to create clarity and an actionable set of plans. Core to their success will be their ability to prioritize based on insights and business needs, identifying the must-have items that are core to the strategy. This leader will also be comfortable with getting into the details, while being adept at seeing and communicating the big picture.

This role will report to the Chief Commercial Officer while working closely with the commercial leadership team and other interconnected functions in the organization.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design the model, structure, and build a talented team Commercial Operations considering pre-launch to post-launch needs, and future lifecycle plans.
• Provide direction on predictive and prescriptive analytic needs and projects.
• Develop and manage commercial data strategy encompassing master customer view, data acquisition, aggregating, warehousing, analyzing, and reporting. Ensure integration of CRM system with IT.
• Partner with Marketing leads to design and our commercial customer engagement model
• Build Commercial and Field operations capability to support operational needs including field incentives, compensation, goal setting and performance measurement.
• Develop performance measurement and reporting plan that assesses progress to goals across the pre-launch to post-launch continuum.
• Identify the right vendors to deliver insights and expertise in support of our commercial strategies and priorities
• Build and generate dashboard of KPIs and performance indicators
• Provide leadership support and direction as a key member of the Commercial Leadership Team.
• Acts with the highest level of integrity, collaborates for results, is highly accountable and supports fellow team members consistent with the organizational culture.

Qualifications:

• BS/BA degree
• 10+ years managing data insights and analytics within the pharmaceutical industry
• Direct experience (10+ years) in leading commercial operations and analytics teams
• Deep understanding of CRM systems and integration into broader IT infrastructure
• Proven track record of successful design, deployment, and refinement of analytical models
• Experience with core Sales Operations deliverables including incentive compensation, field design (segmentation, targeting), auto programs and performance tracking
• Strong understanding of relevant data sources and ability to create a commercial data strategy
• Demonstrate the ability to shape long-term field sales design while effectively supporting data and insight analytic needs for the commercial organization
• Experience in managing data insights and analytics with associated budgets
• Ophthalmology (retina specific) experience preferred
• Recent responsibility for a significant new brand launch preferred
