Education
High School Diploma or GED required Associates Degree in science related field preferred Mechanical Technician or Technologist preferred Vibration Certification II or higher Emerson 2140, Valmet DMM, Wireless vibration sensor experience is considered an asset
Requirements
10+ years demonstrated industrial maintenance competence Ability to lead and execute work without supervision Ability to read and interpret documents i.e., P&ID, Blueprints, Manuals, etc. Vibration Certification Level 2 and ability to achieve level 3 within 1 year Proficiency in using advanced diagnostic tools, understanding of mechanical systems, and vibration analysis methodologies Experience in providing vibration and reliability technical support, preferably in a paper mill or similar industrial setting Qualified to operate Lift equipment Strong problem-solving skills Demonstrated leadership capabilities Strong oral and written communication skills Excellent team building skills Quality ambassador - advocate for quality Must have strong communication and leadership skills Must be self-managed and have good decision-making and problem-solving abilities Must have ability to learn current quality audit procedures Must have ability to learn software - MS Office (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.), ITOP, PARCView Must be able to perform repetitive tasks without losing sight of safety and quality expectations Must be able to pull, push and lift weights up to 50 lbs Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and climb Must have good attendance and job performance records

Job Description
The Vibration Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of machinery by monitoring, analyzing, and troubleshooting vibration issues. Through the development and improvement of the site's vibration tracking systems and processes, the Specialist will identify, track, and properly document performance of the equipment.
Responsibilities
Vibration Analysis: Conduct on-site vibration analysis on machinery and equipment Data Interpretation: Analyze and interpret vibration data to identify problematic vibrations Field Tests: Perform field tests to detect and diagnose vibration issues Maintenance Coordination: Work with the maintenance team to implement corrective actions and solutions Technical Support: Provide technical assistance and advice on vibration issues to clients and colleagues Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports on findings and recommendations Predictive Maintenance: Conduct predictive maintenance programs and procedures Equipment Management: Maintain and calibrate vibration analysis equipment and tools Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety standards, regulations, and procedures Continuous Improvement: Continually look for ways to improve the program and data collection
