Position Details

• Role: Veterinary Technician
• Status: Full-time
• Salary: Negotiable and based on experience
• Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday: 7:50-6:00 (1 hour lunch break), Thursday OFF, Every other Saturday that we are open- 7:45-12:00

Miramar Animal Hospital is looking to hire a full-time experienced or licensed veterinary technician to join our fantastic team. Technician Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Assist veterinarians with examinations and treatments
• Safely restrain animals during exams and procedures
• Perform laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed by the veterinarian
• Educate clients on pet care, medications, and treatment plans
• Maintain accurate medical records using Avimark
• Maintain a clean, organized treatment and surgical area
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced team setting

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/ GED
• 2 years’ experience as a Veterinary Technician (REQUIRED)
• Experience with Avimark preferred
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Capable of lifting up to 50lbs
• Must be able to work rotating weekends
• Sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment
