Veterinary Technician

All West Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team!

This is an excellent opportunity for skilled technicians eager to fully utilize their surgical and anesthesia expertise while making a meaningful impact on patient care. We are proud to care for both companion animals and exotic species, and are open to training the right candidate who is excited to expand their skill set in exotics medicine.

In this role, you will:

• Provide exceptional patient care during surgical and dental procedures, including anesthesia monitoring, patient prep and recovery, and dental cleanings and radiographs.
• Support the care and handling of a variety of species, including exotics, with training and guidance provided.
• Ensure an efficient surgical and procedural workflow, anticipating the needs of the veterinary team and patients.
• Communicate with clients to review treatment plans, answer questions, and provide discharge instructions with empathy and clarity.

This role is ideal for detail-oriented technicians who are passionate about anesthesia and eager to continue growing their skills—including gaining hands-on experience with exotic patients—while working at the top of their license in a supportive, team-focused environment.

This is a full-time or part-time position, with a flexible schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday.

Full-time benefits and compensation**:

• Compensation: $22 - $25 per hour, for each hour worked*
• Bonus package: $500-$2000 for those with 3+ years of consecutive, current experience or current license

Minimum qualifications and skill set:

• 1+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
• Current Veterinary Technician License in the state of Montana
• Exotic Animal Handling is a plus
• Proficiency in the following skills:
  • IV Catheter placement
  • Anesthesia induction and monitoring
  • Dental prophy and radiographs
