Job Summary

The Hospital Manager oversees the daily business and administrative operations of the clinic, leading the support staff and resolving client inquiries to ensure a seamless service experience.By ensuring the people side of the hospital runs smoothly, you allow the medical team to focus entirely on the patients.Your goal is to solve problems before they affect the clinic operation and ensure every client has an exceptional experience that reflects the Upleash brand.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, interview, hire and train new support staff to ensure operational standards are met.
  • Oversee the daily workflow of the clinic, specifically focusing on staff scheduling and exam room efficiency.
  • Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations to maintain high operational standards.
  • Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily hospital operations to allow the Medical Director to focus exclusively on clinical care.
  • Oversee inventory procurement and management for medical and office supplies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor relations and facility maintenance to ensure the clinic remains fully functional.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional hospital environment that reflects the Upleash brand.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proven ability to identify and resolve operational bottlenecks and financial discrepancies using strong analytical and data-driven problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills to mentor medical support staff, mediate interpersonal disputes, foster a positive workplace culture, and maintain open lines of communication between staff and ownership.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills paired with top-tier customer service capabilities to manage client and staff relations seamlessly.
  • Sharp attention to detail and organizational skills, particularly regarding billing accuracy and medical record compliance.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and delegate appropriately to maintain workflow momentum.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to quickly learn the Veterinary Practice Management Software (Instinct).
  • Ability to function well and maintain composure in a high-paced and at times stressful medical environment.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Business or Healthcare Management preferred.
  • At least two to five years of related management experience required, preferably in veterinary or medical setting.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Ability to stand and move through the clinic for extended periods to oversee the workflow.
