Role: Veterinary Assistant
Status: Full-time
Salary: $17.50 – $19.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience
Schedule: Four-day work week with one-hour lunch breaks; Rotating Saturday shifts

What Our Veterinary Assistants Do
- Triage patients and obtain thorough histories, vital signs, and patient assessments
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, surgeries, and procedures
- Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
- Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection
- Obtain high-quality diagnostic radiographs
- Perform in-house laboratory testing, including CBC/chemistry, urinalysis, cytology, and fecal testing
- Educate clients regarding medications, discharge instructions, preventive care, and treatment plans
- Maintain clean, organized treatment and exam areas while following infection control protocols
- Work collaboratively with teammates to provide exceptional patient care
What Our Veterinary Assistants Bring
- Confidence in patient handling and core veterinary assistant skills, or a strong desire to continue learning
- Experience with preventive care, vaccines, and client education
- Experience obtaining radiographs, performing venipuncture, sample collection, and in-house laboratory testing
- Knowledge of anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to teamwork
