CARE Veterinary Center is looking for a full-timeVeterinary Assistant to join our Emergency and Internal Medicine team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community in Frederick, MD.
About You
You’ll play a vital role in supporting our patients and clinical teams by providing hands-on assistance across both Internal Medicine and Emergency services. Your work will include safely restraining cats and dogs for examinations and procedures, collecting free-catch samples and assisting technicians and DVMs during Internal Medicine procedures. In addition to direct patient care, you'll help maintain a clean, organized and fully stocked hospital, with a strong emphasis on clinic laundry and daily support tasks that keep the practice moving smoothly.

Your Experience & Skills
· Minimum 1 year experience as a veterinary assistant
· Superior/advanced organizational skills
· Possesses a positive work attitude
· Self-motivated
· Excellent, communication and organization skills

Compensation is negotiable based on experience and credentials, with an expected starting range of $18 – $20 / hour. The actual compensation will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
