Veterinary Assistant

College Hills Veterinary Hospital is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our compassionate team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll make a meaningful impact in the lives of pets and their families every day.

In This Position, You Will Take an Active Role In:

• Assisting veterinarians during exams, treatments, surgical procedures, and dentistry
• Maintaining accurate medical records and treatment documentation
• Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
• Building positive client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service
• Maintaining clean, organized, and fully prepared exam rooms, treatment areas, and procedural spaces

Schedule and Compensation:

• Compensation: $14-$15 per hour, for each hour worked
• This is a part-time position, with flexible scheduling options and availability needed weekdays (minimum 3 shifts/week). NO WEEKENDS!

Full-Time Benefits Package*

• Bonus Package: Up to $250 depending on experience

Minimum Qualifications and Skill Set:

• 1+ years of veterinary assistant, animal care, kennel, or related role preferred
• Proficiency in the following skills:
  • Ability to assist with exams, treatments, and outpatient procedures
  • Compassionate, professional communication with clients and team members
  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and restrain patients safely throughout the workday
  • Familiarity with Avimark is a plus!
