A well-established, full-service AAHA accredited small animal and exotics hospital in Grandview, Missouri, just outside Kansas City, is seeking an experienced and motivated Veterinarian (DVM) to step into a Senior Associate / Lead DVM role.

This is an excellent opportunity for a doctor who wants to focus primarily on patient care while also taking on meaningful leadership responsibility within a collaborative, supportive hospital environment. Exotics medicine is available but completely optional.

This role is ideal for a veterinarian ready to step into a leadership-focused position without heavy administrative burden, allowing you to concentrate on delivering high-quality medicine and supporting your colleagues.

You'll work alongside three other DVMs in a busy, full-service general practice hospital.

The role is predominantly patient-facing, with additional responsibility for:

  • Supporting and mentoring 3 other DVMs
  • Assisting hospital team members in their day-to-day work and professional development
  • Collaborating with the broader management team to maintain consistent, high-quality standards of care
  • While you will have leadership influence, administrative duties are intentionally limited so you can remain focused on your patients and team.

Schedule & Work-Life Balance

  • Hospital Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM 6:00 PM
  • No weekends
  • 4 x 10-hour shifts per week (mid-week schedule requested)
  • This is a true weekday-only opportunity, offering excellent work-life balance.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $130,000 - $160,000 (depending on experience and leadership scope)
  • 20% production bonus structure and established diary available

  • DVM degree
  • Licensed (or eligible) in Missouri
