POSITION OVERVIEW:
Support wire harness design activities.
Conduct new harness and component supplier evaluations.
Perform wire harness benchmark activities.
Support new supplier integration using internal Stellantis systems.
Work with wiring teams to identify and integrate cost save efficiencies into wire harness designs.
Support wiring team transition to built-to-print processes and keep team aligned on timing.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or related field
A minimum of 8 years of engineering experience
A minimum of 5 years of transportation wiring design and release experience or vehicle electrical system experience
Experience in working with electrical component suppliers
Excellent communication skills that include writing, creation, and presentation of management-level high-quality presentation materials and reports
Proficient in MS Office suite of tools, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
Preferred Qualifications:
Master of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Training in DFMEA, DVP&R and DFSS development tools and processes
Working knowledge of CAD systems (NX, Catia)
Experience in high volume manufacturing facilities
Familiarity with wiring harness drawings and specifications for automotive applications
Web publishing and familiarity with SharePoint data management environments
