Vendor Manager

We're looking for a Vendor Manager. The ultimate duty of this role is to be the business owner for various Vendor Partner lines. You are responsible for understanding vendor needs and strategic objectives, building a business plan around those objectives and then executing a profitable strategy.

This position is a hybrid work schedule: Three days in the office and two days from home.

 Responsibilities

1. Manage multiple vendor product lines and be accountable for sales growth and attainment of profit goals.
2. Own the communication of Vendor Partner business strategy to internal partners (Sales, Procurement, Demand Generation, and Marketing Execution).
3. Ensures that internal partners are in alignment with vendor strategies.
4. Develop B2B go-to market strategies, focused on external communications to the reseller community and internal to the sales organization.
5. Develop and maintain marketing plans that include communication, engagement, incentive, call to action and follow-up for evaluation of success.
6. Define strategic marketing plan objectives and deliverables.
7. Analyze and interpret raw data points to uncover new business opportunities.
8. Build and maintain relationships with existing and new customers.
9. Provide Vendor Partners with access to new customers.
10. Meet and interact regularly with Vendor Partner reps, management, and executives to make formal presentations on product trends, performance, profitability, and results of product line promotions.
11. Initiate and plan quarterly business reviews for assigned Vendor(s).
12. Work collaboratively with the procurement team to drive market forecasts and manage inventory
13. Work with the Supplier Partner Account Manager to develop promotional programs supported by Vendor Partner co-op funding resulting in product line growth and profitability.
14. Understand and utilize internal and external resources and tools effectively to accomplish strategic plans.
15. Balance needs and goals of vendor with Tessco's goals and initiatives.
16. Provide responsive, collaborative support to Sales, Vendor Partners, and other internal departments at multiple management levels.

Qualifications

• Must have a growth mindset, be persistent, organized, a self-starter, and possess a high-level of critical thinking
• At least two years of Vendor / Supplier Management, Product, Sales or Sales Support experience
• 4-year college degree or equivalent
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to respond effectively to rapid change
• High level of organizational skills with multitasking capabilities
• Combination of documented experience and skills
• Team player willing to take on new and exciting challenges
• Ability to communicate effectively and manage workload independently
• Proven ability of successfully communicating technical, or complicated, products/services
• Ability to communicate and work with all parts of the organization – e.g., sales, procurement, marketing, senior leadership, and solutions teams
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Experience using ERP and CRM software packages to support business operations (Salesforce, SAP, etc.)

Compensation: $65,000 - $80,000
