Vehicle Systems Engineering Specialist

About the Role

This opportunity focuses on the development and integration of advanced vehicle system architectures for next-generation military ground vehicle platforms. The role centers on Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), requirements decomposition, systems integration, and system behavior modeling using CAMEO and SysML methodologies.

The ideal candidate will have strong systems engineering experience combined with the ability to understand and model complex subsystem interactions across hardware and software vehicle architectures.

Responsibilities

  • Develop system and subsystem requirements including decomposition and traceability
  • Create and maintain MBSE artifacts using SysML and CAMEO
  • Develop and review system connectivity diagrams and architecture models
  • Model platform and subsystem behaviors using SysML diagrams
  • Support development of integration and test plans at the vehicle and subsystem level
  • Integrate hardware and software components into established vehicle architectures
  • Support in-lab and on-vehicle integration, testing, and verification activities
  • Collaborate across electrical, software, mechanical, and systems engineering teams
  • Support advanced vehicle architecture development for military ground vehicle platforms
  • Assist with system performance validation and troubleshooting activities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in:
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Computer Science
    • Control Systems
    • Software Engineering
    • Related technical engineering field
  • 5+ years of engineering experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and cross-functional engineering disciplines
  • Proven experience with MBSE methodologies and tools
  • Direct experience with CAMEO required
  • Experience with SysML modeling and requirements traceability
  • Strong understanding of vehicle systems integration and architecture development

Highly Desired Experience

    • Engines and transmissions
    • Drive-by-wire systems
    • CAN communications
    • Vehicle electronic interfacing
  • Vehicle electronics systems
    • Data networking
    • Schematic development
  • Video systems
    • Cameras

    • Displays

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
  • Ability to climb on/off and work around military vehicles
  • Must be able to pass ASR (Anthropometric Size Requirement) testing for confined spaces
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively within cross-functional engineering teams
