Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Vehicle Integration Validation Engineer for a Contract to Hire with a client in Mount Vernon, WA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing vehicle validation testing for autonomous, powertrain, and control systems to ensure performance, safety, and program success.

Rate Range: $45/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Vehicle Integration Validation Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute validation plans and test strategies for autonomous vehicles, powertrains, and control system programs.

  • Conduct hands-on vehicle testing, system acceptance testing, and property validation to ensure performance, safety, and quality requirements are met.

  • Analyze test data, identify issues, perform root cause investigations, and provide technical recommendations for product improvements.

  • Collaborate with software development, engineering, and cross-functional teams to support validation activities and program objectives.

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage validation projects, including schedules, budgets, test coverage, and deliverables.

  • Prepare detailed test reports, document results, and communicate findings, conclusions, and recommendations to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline.

  • 7+ years of experience in automotive, truck, or vehicle validation engineering environments.

  • Experience with vehicle software validation, autonomous vehicle systems, powertrain controls, CAN/J1939 communication protocols, and data acquisition tools.

  • Strong expertise in validation testing, data analysis, issue resolution, and cross-functional collaboration, with Functional Safety testing/development experience preferred.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $60.00 per hour
