Sustainable Talent is partnering with NVIDIA, a global leader in accelerated computing, graphics, and AI technologies, to hire a Sensor Systems Technician to support their Sensor Systems Engineering team in Santa Clara.
This role supports the development and validation of sensor hardware components used in Nvidia Autonomous Vehicles.
The team focuses on testing and validating Vehicle sensor performance at the component level before and during integration into vehicle platforms. Work is primarily conducted in lab environments, with occasional vehicle-based validation.
The team works with a range of sensors including cameras, radar, lidar, ultrasonic sensors, and IMUs, with camera sensors being a key focus area.
What You'll Do
Build, operate, and maintain sensor hardware test setups for validating sensor performance
Perform component-level testing and debugging of sensors including cameras, lidar, radar, ultrasonic sensors, and IMUs
Develop repeatable lab-based validation processes to measure sensor accuracy, calibration, and reliability
Capture and analyze test data to evaluate sensor performance and system behavior
Write or modify Python scripts/tools to improve testing workflows and automation
Work in Linux and Windows environments to run tests, troubleshoot issues, and manage sensor data
Document test configurations, results, and findings to ensure reproducibility and traceability
Maintain organized lab environments, testing equipment, and sensor hardware inventory
Collaborate closely with hardware, software, and systems engineers to debug and improve sensor performance
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Robotics, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
Hands-on experience testing or debugging AV sensor hardware
Experience working with one or more sensors such as:
Camera sensors (strongly preferred)
LiDAR
Radar
Ultrasonic sensors
IMU
Experience writing Python scripts for testing, automation, or data analysis
Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems in technical environments
Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and data analysis skills
Highly hands-on, proactive, and curious, with interest in lab-based engineering work
