This role \n \ninvolves managing a team of VDC detailers, coordinating with various project stakeholders, and \n \ndriving the successful integration of BIM (Building Information Modeling) into the project \n \nlifecycle. The VDC Supervisor will play a critical role in improving collaboration, enhancing\n \nproject efficiency, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality digital construction models.\n \nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS\n \nEducation: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction\n \nManagement, or a related field.\n \nExperience: Minimum of 6 years of experience in VDC/BIM management, with a proven track record in a supervisory or leadership role. Strong understanding of construction\n \nprocesses, project management, and BIM methodologies.\n\n Proficient in BIM software (e.g. Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD).\n Excellent leadership and team management skills.\n Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across \n departments.\n Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.\n \nTravel: 10-20%\n \nWork Schedule: Typical work hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday \u2013 Friday. However, work may need to be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.\n \nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\n \nTeam Management:\n\n Leads, mentors, and manages a team of VDC detailers, providing guidance and support in their daily tasks.\n Fosters a collaborative team environment, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.\n \nProject Coordination:\n\n Coordinates VDC activities across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.\n Collaborates with Project Managers, Architects, Engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the integration of BIM in the project planning and execution phases.\n \nBIM Implementation:\n\n Oversees the development, management, and maintenance of BIM models throughout the project life cycle.\n Ensures that BIM models are accurate, up-to-date, and comply with company standards and industry best practices.\n Supports the integration of BIM with other project management tools and systems.\n \nQuality Control:\n\n Focuses on real-time quality control related to BIM models during project execution, including daily checks, audits, and immediate corrective actions.\n \nTraining and Development:\n\n Coordinates with the VDC Training Lead to ensure that team members receive project-specific training as needed. Focuses on situational and project-specific guidance during active projects.\n Stays up-to-date with the latest advancements in VDC technology and methods, ensuring the team continuously improves.\n \nReporting and Documentation:\n\n Prepares and presents regular reports on VDC progress, challenges, and outcomes to senior management.\n Maintains detailed documentation of all VDC activities, including model versions, design changes, and project decisions.\n Performs other related responsibilities as required.\n \nThe job description and responsibilities described are intended to provide guidelines for job expectations and the employee's ability to perform the position described.
