St. Josephs Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our established Outpatient Vascular Surgery team in Syracuse, NY. This outpatient role offers the opportunity to work closely with a collaborative team of five vascular surgeons specializing in minimally invasive and endovascular procedures across the full spectrum of vascular disease, including complex cases.
Position Details:
- Conduct new and established patient visits in an outpatient setting, including comprehensive evaluations and ongoing care management
- Perform patient consultations with thorough education on procedures, treatment plans, and expectation setting
- Provide longitudinal postoperative care and follow-up for surgical patients, monitoring recovery and addressing complications as needed
- Review, interpret, and act on diagnostic imaging and laboratory results to guide patient management
- Address patient questions and concerns, and collaborate with nursing staff to manage clinical issues
- Coordinate patient communication and triage inquiries in collaboration with clinical and administrative team members
- Perform wound care procedures, including complex dressing changes and wound VAC management
Opportunity Highlights:
- Location: St. Josephs Hospital in Syracuse, NY (outpatient office setting)
- Monday-Friday schedule, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- No call, evenings, weekends, or holidays

Qualifications:
- 1-2+ years of NP/PA experience preferred
- Prior experience as an APP or RN in a surgical setting preferred
- Active NYS NP or PA license
- DEA and Board Certification required
Compensation:
- Competitive salary range: $119,000 - $155,000
- This salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include potential productivity bonuses, quality performance incentives, or other forms of cash compensation. The salary range is provided in accordance with state law and may vary based on individual qualifications and experience.
- Starting bonus: $5,000
- Relocation bonus: $5,000
