Greenfield High School is seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to serve as the Head Varsity Boys Soccer Coach. The ideal candidate will be a transformational leader committed to building a high-character program rooted in player development, teamwork, and community engagement. This position oversees the entire boys soccer program, including varsity, junior varsity, and feeder levels, with the goal of fostering a positive culture and long-term success.
Program Leadership
Provide vision, direction, and leadership for the entire boys soccer program (Varsity, JV, and collaboration with youth feeder levels).
Establish and uphold a positive team culture built on respect, accountability, and sportsmanship.
Develop seasonal goals and year-round training plans that emphasize skill development, fitness, and tactical growth
Player Development
Create structured practice sessions that develop technical skills, tactical awareness, and overall athletic performance.
Support the holistic development of student-athletes, including leadership, academic responsibility, and personal growth.
Conduct fair and transparent tryouts and communicate expectations clearly with players and families.
Feeder Program & Community Integration
Collaborate with local youth clubs and community programs (e.g., Greenfield-Park & Rec, Polonia SC) to align coaching philosophies and encourage participation.
Organize camps, clinics, and outreach efforts to promote the program and engage with prospective student-athletes.
Serve as a liaison between Greenfield High School and youth soccer stakeholders to build a sustainable pipeline of talent.
Program Operations
Coordinate scheduling, transportation, equipment inventory, and uniform management with the Athletic Office.
Maintain compliance with WIAA regulations and Greenfield School District policies.
Manage assistant coaches, providing leadership and direction in alignment with program goals.
Communication & Collaboration
Foster open communication with athletes, families, school staff, and athletic administration.
Attend all required coaches' meetings, training, and professional development sessions.
Model professionalism and integrity on and off the field.
