SALARY: Extra-Curricular Compensation Schedule (Category 1 - $4,250 - $5,600)

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Watertown Unified School District believes athletics are a vital extension of the educational experience. We are seeking a dedicated professional who can effectively manage administrative and mentorship responsibilities while demonstrating the leadership, communication, and patience required to guide student-athletes toward success. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating and facilitating daily practice sessions after school hours.
  • Supervising student-athletes during competitions, invitational tournaments, and team travel.
  • Providing program leadership throughout the competitive season, including all postseason and WIAA state-series events.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A demonstrated commitment to the academic and athletic excellence of student-athletes.
  • The ability to build and maintain program continuity across all competitive levels.
  • Proven leadership skills with a history of professional reliability in managing team operations.
  • Knowledge of WIAA and NFHS regulations; current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications are required prior to the start of the season.
  • Comprehensive technical knowledge of basketball strategy and the ability to implement effective development drills.

The Watertown School District has an enrollment of approximately 3,000 students taught in seven buildings. WHS's 75 teachers and 4 administrators serve 950 students on a 150-acre campus that includes two charter schools - Endeavor Charter School and eCampus Charter School. The team has excellent facilities available to them, including a Fitness Center. WHS is a member of the Badger Conference.
