Job Summary
Job Summary
Serves as the lead instructor for the middle color guard program, responsible for teaching flag, dance, and performance techniques while developing students skills, confidence, and teamwork. Plans and conducts practices, choreographs routines, prepares students for performances and competitions, and promotes a positive, inclusive environment that supports student growth, discipline, and school spirit. Collaborates with school staff to ensure successful performances and program development. Primarily responsible for direct student instruction, following guidance from the VAPA teacher or director, with some autonomy in instructional adjustments. Applicant must be prepared to possibly work evenings and/ or weekends.
Requirements / Qualifications
Experience in subject with 2 or more years of experience teaching and/ or assisting in a classroom environment preferred. * Two professional references must be from an evaluating supervisor/administrator.
If selected to coach, the following items will be required prior to clearance: 1) TB/Drug Screening within 5 days of offer. 2) Live Scan Fingerprinting 3) CIF Home/ Home Campus Account 4) Completion of Keenan SafeSchools online training modules. 5) Valid CPR & First Aid prior to start date. - CPR and First Aid Certifications must be from an American Heart Association or American Red Cross Approved, in-person course. No online certificates will be accepted.
