Schedule : 8:30 AM - 2:00 PM. Hours will vary based on the need.
This is a Part Time position . 20 hours each week.
This position is responsible for :
- Drives a Salvation Army vehicle in order to transport passengers to and from Salvation Army activities, runs errands and picks up food and other in-kind donations; assists with set up and clean up for Corps functions/programs; assists with cleanup in the store; sorts items in the back of the store area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides transportation for members to and from Corps services each Sunday.
- Provides transportation for children to and from afternoon activities.
- Provides transportation for Home League members to and from meetings.
- Makes deliveries and runs errands.
- Picks up food and other in-kind donations from community organizations.
- Assists with room set up for Corps programs/functions; assists with breakdown and cleaning of area upon closing/finishing.
Physical Abilities & Working Conditions:
- Ability to meet attendance requirements.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
- Ability to drive a vehicle in heavy traffic and extended trips.
- Ability to spend the night away from home due to extended trips.
- Work involves driving a vehicle where there may be physical discomforts associated with changes in weather such as rain, cold, snow, heat or discomforts associated with long distance trips or heavy traffic.

- Two years experience operating an automotive vehicle,
or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
