Van Driver

Position Type:Van Driver Location: District Wide Reports to: Assistant Superintendent of Student Services Salary: As per FEA Van Driver Contract General Description: The Franklin Public Schools, a Prek-12 district, is seeking a skilled, licensed and experienced Van Driver to drive students with special needs to and from school. Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school.
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle and sanitize vehicle between runs
• Operate vehicle in accordance with all Federal and State traffic laws
• Complete weekly documentation and record keeping as required by the district

Qualifications

• Massachusetts 7D license
• Must be able to communicate effectively and clearly in with students, parents, teachers, and staff
• Must enjoy working with children, and always possess the ability to show patience and empathy
• Experience operating a van for students or adults with special needs
• Must successfully pass Criminal Offender (CORI) background check and national fingerprinting screening (CHRI).
• Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
