The McLean Group’s Valuation Advisory Services team is seeking a full-time valuation services manager who will oversee a variety of engagements and assignments to support clients within a wide range of industries.  The valuation engagements include:  business valuations, complex security valuations, intangible asset valuations, impairment testing, transaction opinions, and litigation support.  The valuation manager will perform the following responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed valuation analyses by developing financial models which utilize various valuation methodologies, including, but not limited to: discounted cash flow analyses, guideline public company analyses, comparable company transaction analyses, and option pricing model analyses.
  • Prepare formal valuation reports and interact with clients and their attorneys and auditors to explain, support, and defend the valuation opinions and the assumptions and methodologies used to support the conclusions.
  • Actively manage client relationships and assist with business development.
  • Train and oversee junior staff to ensure completion of day-to-day tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience leading valuation engagements such as business valuations, purchase price allocations, impairment tests, complex security valuations, etc.
  • CVA, ABV, ASA or related valuation credential preferred.
  • Experience managing client relationships and overseeing junior staff members.
  • Full proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially, PowerPoint, Excel and Word).
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, summarizing, and synthesizing skills.
  • Effective and clear communication skills (written and verbal) with team members and clients.
  • Capable of prioritizing multiple tasks while meeting fluctuating deadlines.
