The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a Senior Level (12 + years of experience in this field) UxS Engineer to support management of multiple UxS programs. This position will require advanced understanding of UxS systems, subcomponents, and commercial UxS technologies, with an emphasis on those pertaining to Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS).


Responsibilities:
· Research, develop, analyze, author, and present technical intelligence products focused on UxS, Commercial Off the Shelf Technologies (COTS), and improvised systems to Defense Department, Intelligence Community, and Defense Industry. · Lead the technical and functional examination of target devices through exploitation and research to identify critical components of unmanned systems.

· Assist in the management of nonstandard acquisition projects to procure threat-representative systems, track funding and order lists, and identify suitable substitutes for essential items.

· Conceive and implement non-standard and novel solutions to complex problem sets.

· Assist Government project lead in advising senior leaders on technical matters concerning UxS.

· Coordinate and deconflict projects with interagency and Defense Department partners.

· Read, interpret, validate, and summarize UxS-related COTS product engineering data and specifications of commercial, government, and emerging technologies.

· Read, interpret, and validate technical diagrams and engineering schematics.

· Identify future threat technology to support RDT&E, planning, and operations.

· Perform technical UAS research in classified databases for use in written products.

· Perform all functional duties independently and without training.

Qualifications:
Required: 
· Current TS/SCI clearance.

· BS in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics, OR technical certification(s) in related fields plus 10+ years of experience.

· 12 yrs experience with design / assembly / disassembly of UAS.

· 12 yrs experience with research and development.

· Ability to analyze and examine circuitry to system level and produce technical reports.

· Ability to differentiate / document differences between similar COTS products.

· Possess strong research, analytical, and writing skills as well as briefing skills to include the ability to clearly articulate information to different audiences.


Desired:

· Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics or currently studying towards a Master’s in the aforementioned.
· History of work with Defense Department and/or Defense Industry concerning technical UAS related work.
· Experience working with Special Operations Forces.

· Experience with armed UAS, LACM, or like weapons systems.

· Experience with military and commercial explosive systems.

· Experience with integrating various technologies into different systems and form-factors.

· CI Polygraph.

Pay Range:

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$99,800 - $219,600
