Job Summary:
We are seeking a UX Researcher to lead mixed-method research initiatives across a complex hardware and software ecosystem spanning consumer IoT applications, heavy equipment controls, and technical B2B portal platforms. This role is responsible for owning the end-to-end research lifecycle, from study design through insight delivery, helping shape user-centered experiences across both digital interfaces and physical environments.
The ideal candidate has experience conducting qualitative and quantitative research, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and translating research findings into actionable product recommendations. Success in this role requires expertise working with both B2B and B2C user populations, strong facilitation skills, and a passion for accessible, data-driven design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end UX research efforts across multiple products and platforms.
  • Design and execute qualitative and quantitative research studies, including interviews, surveys, contextual inquiries, diary studies, and usability testing.
  • Recruit and manage research participants representing diverse customer segments.
  • Plan, moderate, and synthesize research sessions to uncover user behaviors, pain points, and opportunities.
  • Partner closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, Engineers, and business stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Translate complex research findings into clear, compelling insights and strategic recommendations using presentations, reports, journey maps, personas, and other research artifacts.
  • Conduct research across hardware and software experiences, including consumer IoT products, industrial equipment interfaces, and enterprise web portals.
  • Champion user-centered and accessible design principles throughout product development.
  • Build, organize, and maintain centralized research repositories to ensure insights are discoverable and reusable across teams.
  • Establish research best practices, methodologies, and governance to improve organizational research maturity.
  • Present findings to executive leadership and influence product strategy through evidence-based recommendations.
  • Monitor industry trends, emerging UX research methodologies, and competitive experiences to continuously improve research practices.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Anthropology, Information Science, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • 5+ years of professional UX research experience.
  • Experience conducting both qualitative and quantitative research.
  • Strong expertise with usability testing, contextual inquiry, field studies, surveys, interviews, card sorting, and heuristic evaluations.
  • Experience researching both B2B and B2C products and user populations.
  • Experience supporting hardware, software, IoT, or connected device ecosystems.
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of research data into actionable product insights.
  • Strong storytelling, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience collaborating with Product Management, UX Design, Engineering, and cross-functional business teams.
  • Experience maintaining research repositories and knowledge management systems.
  • Strong understanding of accessibility and inclusive design principles.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience researching industrial equipment, manufacturing systems, or field-service applications.
  • Experience with consumer IoT devices, smart home products, or connected hardware.
  • Familiarity with UX research platforms such as UserTesting, UserZoom, Dovetail, Maze, Qualtrics, or Optimal Workshop.
  • Experience with analytics platforms including GA4, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of design thinking, service design, and customer journey mapping.
  • Experience working in Agile product development environments.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards such as WCAG and inclusive research methodologies.
