This position is located at Headquarters (Quantico, VA). Candidates selected for this position will serve as a UX CONTENT DESIGNER, NF4.
Major Duties
Serves as UX Content Designer for Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) enterprise digital platforms, including installation websites, MCCS Connect, and related services. Responsible for designing, writing, and maintaining user-centered content that supports clear, consistent, and effective digital experiences.
Applies knowledge of user experience principles, content design, and plain language standards to ensure information is structured and presented in a way that supports user needs and service delivery. Works collaboratively with product, design, and development teams, as well as installation stakeholders, to improve usability and consistency across platforms.
Works collaboratively with product managers, UX designers, UX engineers, and installation stakeholders to support content consistency and usability across distributed environments.

Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in a related field appropriate to the work of the position; AND three years of progressively responsible experience in UX content design, content strategy, content writing, technical writing, digital content management, web or mobile content development, information architecture, digital publishing, accessibility, plain language, or related enterprise digital platform work; OR an appropriate combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of knowledge and skill equivalent to that gained in the above, OR appropriate experience that demonstrates that the applicant has acquired the knowledge, skills, and abilities equivalent to that gained in the above.
Must have experience to demonstrate the ability to structure, write, edit, and maintain user-centered digital content; support content management system workflows; translate complex program, policy, service, or technical information into clear and actionable digital content; apply plain language and accessibility standards; and collaborate with product, design, development, IT, and stakeholder teams.
Skill to prepare and maintain clear, accurate, and complete digital content records, documentation, reports, and stakeholder correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences and maintain positive working relationships across product, design, development, IT, and installation teams. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to explain complex information clearly and professionally.
