The Department of Utilities is seeking qualified candidates for a Utility Maintenance Supervisor in our Water Distribution Division. This person is responsible for visiting work sites; maintaining records, such as inventory reports, work orders and delivery documentation; contributing to the development and preparation of annual budget; monitoring traffic safety and security conditions; checking soil compactness in streets for proper stability and density; and perform underground excavation as needed to lay water pipes or make repairs. Essential Functions Essential functions include but are not limited to the following: Supervises crews by visiting job sites, evaluating staff performance, assigning workers to planned tasks and worksites, assisting crew when needed, conducting performance evaluations and reviews, and handling customer complaints.
