Step into a day maintaining the backbone of utility fleets

At 7:00 am, you open the day’s work orders and get hands-on with a mix of utility trucks and equipment. Your morning might start with diagnostics on a Freightliner chassis using DTNA, shift into troubleshooting an aftertreatment fault on a Peterbilt, and move to rebuilding a hydraulic cylinder on a digger derrick before lunch. You’ll read hydraulic blueprints, verify PTO operation, and trace wiring with a multimeter and CANBus data. By mid-afternoon, you’re performing DOT, ANSI, and dielectric testing on a bucket truck, documenting parts and labor, cleaning up your bay, and preparing for the next task. Overtime is available when needed.

Equipment you’ll support

  • Boom trucks/cranes, bucket and dump trucks, digger derricks, utility trucks, and more
  • Chassis: Freightliner, Peterbilt, International, Mack, Ford, Chevrolet, RAM
  • Systems: hydraulics (cylinders, hoses, PTOs), electrical (wiring, schematics, multimeter, CANBus)

Who thrives here

We welcome all experience levels—journeyman technicians, Vo-Tech graduates, veterans (wheeled/track, aircraft, generator, maintenance), and mechanics with construction or agricultural equipment backgrounds. Experience with diesel truck-mounted hydraulic utility equipment such as aerial devices, digger derricks, and cranes is a plus.
