This position requires work as part of a 24/7/365 operation that investigates and recommends the appropriate course of action on a variety of complaints and/or service requests from the public involving various services and functions of the Water and Sewage ServicesDepartment. The incumbent will work in a field environment involving moderate hazards or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working under extreme outdoor weather conditions, and may be required to wear protective clothing or gear such as coats, and gloves. Maintains accurate records of customer accounts, complaint and/or service requests, and department's resolution of customer issues. Employees at Metro Water Services work around the clock to ensure high quality drinking water, and the best in storm water management and wastewater treatment for the residents of Nashville-Davidson County and some surrounding areas. It takes electricians, chemists, engineers, mechanics, information technology workers, customer service representatives and more working together to service more than 212,000 water accounts, over 205, 000 storm water accounts and over 216,000 sewer accounts.
