Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Operate all heavy equipment safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions or behaviors. Perform daily equipment inspections Excavate mainline trenches in and around utilities Trench and set mainline trench boxes in accordance to OSHA standards Understand and implement the proper rigging for all materials being lowered into the trench
Job requires steady to intermittent physical activity including standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, walking on uneven ground, shoveling, and raking. Some physical labor is required Perform other duties as directed by supervisor
Minimum Qualifications Must be willing to work flexible shifts Must be willing to work in all weather conditions Valid drivers license but a CDL is a preferred Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background Ability to communicate and work with others in a high stress environment Actively implement company & industry safety policies to ensure a consistently safe working environment for employees, owners, and the public
