Usher

Job Summary:

The Graduation Usher plays a pivotal role in welcoming guests and ensuring a smooth experience during the Graduation Ceremony and related functions. This temporary assignment, spanning June 18 - 21, requires a team of 10 individuals dedicated to providing exceptional service and support. Ushers are responsible for greeting guests with courtesy and warmth, guiding them to their seats, distributing programs, and addressing any inquiries with professionalism. They play a key role in enforcing event protocols and contributing to the overall success of the ceremony.

Job Responsibilities:

• Direct guests to their seats.
• Distribute programs, brochures, and other materials.
• Inform guests about the location of the restrooms, refreshments, and exits.
• Tend to guests' comfort and assist them with any questions or problems.
• Assist patrons with disabilities or other impairments as needed.
• Monitor the guests' activity to ensure the safety of the event.
• Enforce event rules and relevant health and safety regulations.
• Ensure that the lobby and facilities are neat and organized.
• Follow emergency protocols and guide audience members to the exits in an orderly manner.

Job Requirements:

• Experience as an usher or similar preferred.
• Consistent professional and neat presentation and friendly demeanor.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Highly organized and attentive to detail.
• Be able to manage crowds and remain calm in stressful situations.
• Be able to stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays.
