We have an exciting new career opportunity for a Plant Manager within our logistics team at our US HQ, in Kearneysville, WV.
What does the logistics team do?
Our US logistics team are responsible for receiving customer orders from our HQ in the UK and ensuring they reach the customer. This involves constant communication with the customer while also preparing the relevant documents to accompany the shipment/courier to ensure there are no issues. An exciting, fast paced department who pride ourselves on attention to detail and customer service.
Location: Randox Laboratories, 515 Industrial Blvd, Kearneysville, WV 25430, United States.
Contract Offered: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours / Shifts: 8.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
What does this role involve?
In this role, you would be responsible for the daily management of logistics, stores and manufacturing functions at the Randox US HQ in Kearneysville, WV. Other duties of the role include:
- To manage the daily logistics operations in Randox USA, ensuring all functions are completed efficiently in accordance to company policies and procedures.
- Deputise for the Operations Manager in their absence
- To maintain and update the international logistics staff training plan ensuring all staff training is conducted effectively, regularly reviewed, updated as appropriate and documented correctly in line with training procedures
- Assisting in areas of logistics day to day functions where required.
- To measure, evaluate and improve on efficiency as appropriate.
- To identify and investigate any non-conforming procedures ensuring appropriate corrective and preventative actions are implemented
- Plan, develop, implement and manage operational strategy, to meet agreed organisational performance plans for Logistics, Despatch, Packing, Manufacturing, work in progress (WIP) Stock Control and Facilities within agreed budgets and timescales
- To enhance and maintain high customer service levels.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports as required by management.
- Monitor, measure and report on operational issues, opportunities and development plans and achievements within agreed formats and timescales.
- The conducting of regular staff appraisals and the disciplining of staff when necessary.

Essential criteria:

- High school diploma
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages such as excel, outlook and word
- Good English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Currently hold the right to work in the United States
Desirable:
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience using SAGE or SAP
- Previous experience managing a team
- Previous operations management experience
- Knowledge of importing legislations/regulations such as documentation required, Incoterms, tariff codes etc
- Previous logistics or manufacturing experience
