Summary
Under the direction of the Nurse Manager and supervision of an RN, midlevel practioner or physician, provides supportive care to the Urgent Care and MEUC patients. Performs technical tasks according to established protocols.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The specifications listed below are representative of the education and experience as well as knowledge, skill and ability required. .
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of one (1) year medical office assistant, certified nursing assistant,or current patient registration experience required. Two (2) years preferred.
- Able to act independently and make decisions under stress as necessary.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers required.
- Urine Drug Screen (UDS) and Breath Alcohol Testing (BAT) Certification required within three (3) months of hire , if applicable
- Certification as an Office Lab Assistant or Lab Assistant within 2 months of hire., if applicable to site (Urgent Cares only)
Basic computer skills required for:
- Accessing and navigating CTRH intranet for forms, policies and procedures
- Accessing and entering data on organization wide software such as etime and Outlook email
- Accessing and using internet and specific applications required to perform job duties
