NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a Full-Time Physician Assistant PA-C or Family Nurse Practitioner FNP to join our team in Thornton, Colorado. This role is ideal for clinicians who enjoy variety, autonomy, and collaboration in a fast-paced urgent care environment. Providers at NextCare practice with a high level of independence while also having access to strong clinical support, including experienced onsite teams, streamlined workflows, and accessible medical leadership-so you can focus on what matters most: high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting • Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits • Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging • Perform urgent care procedures, such as suturing and wound management, as applicable • Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions • Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR • Code and bill services appropriately • Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks • Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values

Required Qualifications:

Active unrestricted Colorado license as a PA or NP Board certification as applicable (PA NCCPA certification, NP ANCC or AANP certification, FNP required) Active DEA or ability to obtain Ability to treat all age groups, from infant to geriatric Active BLS certification EHR proficiency Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays DOT certification required or willingness to obtain

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track experience Strong procedural skills, including suturing, splinting, and wound care Experience with initial X-ray interpretation prior to radiology over-read
