As an Associate Art Director specializing in photography, you will be responsible for developing and executing the visual style and imagery for various projects, including editorial content, advertising campaigns, and e-commerce product photography. You will manage creative teams, collaborating with photographers, stylists, and casting, to ensure that all visual elements align with the brand's vision and objectives.
Role Responsibilities:- Creative Vision: Support the Creative Director to develop and articulate the overall artistic vision for on-figure photography, ensuring alignment with brand alignment with brand guidelines. Conceptualize and communicate direction and execution through creative briefs.
- On Set Art Direction: Oversee photoshoots to ensure execution of the creative vision, directing on set teams, for high quality imagery that elevates the brand. Anticipate and resolve creative or logistical challenges during shoots to maintain efficiency and image quality.
- Project Management: Oversee the entire photography process, from initial concept development to final image delivery, managing timelines and budgets effectively.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and guide Assistant Art Directors, fostering growth and skill development in a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Photo Shoot Coordination: Act as a liaison between the production team and creative leads to organize and oversee photo shoots, including scheduling and building teams.
- Creative Collaboration: Partner with the casting and styling teams to ensure product and models align with project creative direction and overall brand guidelines. Support the Creative Director in concept ideation and building creative decks.
- Image Review and Approval: Review and approve all photographic content, providing constructive feedback to ensure high-quality outcomes.
- Trend Research: Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and technologies to bring fresh ideas and innovations to the team.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Photography, Visual Arts, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in photography or art direction, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in photography equipment and editing software (Adobe Creative Suite).
- Creativity: Strong artistic vision and the ability to conceptualize and execute innovative ideas.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills to effectively convey ideas and collaborate with teams.
