UPS Technician – Data Center & Mission Critical Infrastructure

We are seeking experienced UPS Technicians to support one of the fastest-growing mission-critical and data center markets in the country. This is a long-term opportunity based in Sparks, Nevada, supporting high-profile data center and critical infrastructure projects.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Install, commission, troubleshoot, and maintain single-phase and three-phase UPS systems
• Perform preventive maintenance and emergency service on critical power infrastructure
• Support battery systems, transfer switches, power distribution equipment, and related electrical systems
• Execute startup procedures, firmware updates, testing, and diagnostics on UPS equipment
• Read and interpret electrical one-lines, schematics, and technical documentation
• Complete detailed service reports, testing documentation, and maintenance records
• Work alongside project managers, engineers, and facility teams during commissioning, upgrades, and service activities
• Support uptime and reliability for mission-critical data center environments


Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience working with UPS systems, critical power systems, or industrial electrical equipment
• Strong understanding of AC/DC electrical systems and electrical safety practices
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and power system issues
• Experience reading electrical schematics and technical drawings
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver’s license

Preferred Experience

• Data center, industrial, healthcare, or other mission-critical facility experience
• Experience with Eaton, Vertiv/Liebert, Schneider, Mitsubishi, or similar UPS systems
• OEM training or manufacturer certifications
• Experience with VRLA and Lithium-Ion battery systems
