Forsyth Country Day School is seeking an engaging and knowledgeable part-time instructor to lead our semester-long Introduction to Personal Finance course in the fall and spring semesters. This course is a vital component of our Upper School curriculum, designed to foster financial literacy and help students navigate the complexities of personal finance.
The successful candidate will be responsible for de-mystifying financial concepts and equipping our students with the practical knowledge necessary to make informed decisions throughout their lives.
Key Responsibilities
Instruction: Deliver a comprehensive survey course covering core personal finance topics, including:
Investing and wealth building
Budgeting and money management
Credit cards and credit management
Mortgages and debt
Insurance
Engagement: Facilitate dynamic classroom discussions that encourage critical thinking and real-world application.
Enrichment: Organize and coordinate guest speakers from the financial community to bring professional insights into the classroom.
Student Support: Foster an inclusive learning environment that meets students where they are, helping them build confidence in their financial decision-making.
