Upfit Technician – Hydraulic & 12V Systems

Direct Hire | $25–$30+ per hour | Shelby Township, MI

Picture your day starting with a new build ticket and a bare chassis. You’ll mount a service body, route hydraulic hoses, wire 12-volt accessories, and button up a generator install—then step back for a meticulous safety and quality check. You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with seasoned pros in a clean, organized shop where craftsmanship matters.

What you’ll build

• Install and assemble commercial truck equipment and mechanical components
• Plumb hydraulic lines and connect basic 12V electrical systems
• Use hand and power tools to complete precise upfits
• Interpret work orders and assembly specs to guide each build
• Inspect every install for quality, fit, and safety before delivery

What you bring

• Hands-on mechanical assembly or comparable mechanical experience
• Foundational knowledge of hydraulics and 12-volt automotive/equipment wiring
• Confidence with hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude with a willingness to learn and improve
• Valid driver’s license

Schedule & pay

• $25–$30+ per hour (higher for exceptional experience)
• Monday–Thursday, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM, with overtime available
• Direct hire from day one
