Job Description Summary

This is a clinical full-time board certified General Internal Medicine clinician educator faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Primary clinical responsibilities consist of 8 half-days per week of direct patient care in one or more of our primary care practice locations in the Charleston SC region. These are established high energy efficient practices within a multidisciplinary clinical setting with radiology and lab support on site. There may be limited opportunity for resident supervision sessions in IM continuity clinic within our University Internal Medicine practice located on the MUSC downtown campus. Subsequent opportunities for expanded educational roles in the Medical School or post graduate education may also be available. On call responsibilities commensurate with usual Division on call responsibilities. Overall cFTE and related clinical work may be offset proportionally by any funded effort for teaching or other leadership roles or grants that cover your salary.
